Land Acknowledgement

Aiāna is situated on the traditional, unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people. As a restaurant whose work begins with land, water, seasons, and stewardship, we acknowledge with respect the Algonquin Nation, its Elders past and present, and its continuing relationship with this territory. Our commitment is to move beyond words by listening, learning, and building relationships grounded in humility, trust, and mutual respect. Aiāna’s understanding of Canadian terroir must include the responsibilities that come with working on this land.
